El objetivo de este curso es aprender lo mas primordial que se necesita para la producción de pollos de engorde. Por lo tanto veremos los puntos mas importantes tales como que razas se deben utilizar, las instalaciones , los equipos, la sanidad y manejo, la nutrición y alimentación para los pollos.
1.LA AVICULTURA
La avicultura incluye gallinas , pavos, gansos, patos, palomas, codornices, pavos reales y gallinas de gulnea. Las gallinas se utilizan tanto para la producción de huevo como para carne.
En la industria avícola se basa en varias actividades como ser:
- La incubación .- incluye explotación de reproductoras y la producción industrial de pollitos bb.
-Para engorde .- engorde de pollos parrilleros para el consumo humano e industrial.
-Para huevo.- cría de gallinas ponedoras para el consumo humano e industrial.
2. RAZAS
Existen muchas razas de pollos, las cuales se clasifican en livianas, pesadas y medianas. En nuestro caso solo estudiaremos las razas pesadas, ya que son las que se utilizan mas para la producción de carne.
Tenemos las siguientes razas: Cornish, Orpington, Brahman.
Las características de estas razas se relacionan en que tienen gran tamaño, pecho ancho y los machos llegan a un peso promedio de unos 5kg .
